This research aims to validate an instrument that integrates the variables that are related to knowledge management in order to propose an empirical model designed through a literature review that addresses open innovation focused on the user and that systematically drives creation and innovation within real environments. In addition, it aims to explain how companies, universities, government and users interact in the development and validation of new goods, services and systems in a real environment. A quantitative method was applied because the variables are measured and compared with the theories addressed and that will facilitate the design of a survey applied to a representative sample of the universe under study. The relevant findings indicate that the instrument complies with the elements of validity and reliability. Allowing to explain knowledge management, through the variables Open Innovation, Living Labs.
