Analyzing the sector of social organizations is important since there are 48,035 organizations that focus their activities on social strengthening in Mexico. Therefore, the objective is to carry out a diagnosis of the social organizations of Michoacán since it represents the ninth place at the national level of civil society organizations per 100 thousand inhabitants in 2024. The method used is the survey data that carried out by the Pulso organization based on four variables, which are: population, operational capacity, financial sustainability and legal and fiscal capacity. The analysis reveals that, despite a 52% increase in demand for services, these organizations face serious financial and structural limitations that affect their ability to respond to the needs of the population. Although they are focused on critical areas such as social assistance and health, the culture of donation is almost non-existent and there is a concentration of resources in urban areas, which limits their impact on more vulnerable communities. Most organizations show a commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance, but have significant gaps in implementing necessary measures, such as anti-money laundering. It is concluded that organizations develop innovative financing strategies and carry out continuous evaluations of their environments to improve their resilience and effectiveness, ensuring their role as vital resources in the well-being of their communities.
