This essay examines the international expansion of agricultural trading SMEs within a sustainable development framework, drawing upon theoretical models such as comparative advantage, competitive advantage, transaction cost theory, the resource-based view (RBV), and circular economy principles. Through comparative case studies across Latin America, Europe, and Asia, it identifies how these firms have addressed structural and environmental challenges by adopting sustainable technologies, international certifications, and differentiation strategies.
